Manufactured from molten cast iron the dish is extremely durable and gives an even and efficient distribution of heat, cooking the food evenly and relatively quickly once warmed. With wide side handles and a wide phenolic round central knob the dish is also easy to handle. Coated with a hygienic and impermeable quality vitreous enamel, with a red exterior and contrasting cream interior, the dish is safe to use in the oven, under the grill, on all hobs including electric, gas, ceramic, halogen and induction, as well as for solid fuel range cookers and cooker tops (including Aga® and Rayburn®).
